What is Host Family Accommodation?

Host family accommodation is where a course participant is welcomed into the home of a Southport family and provided with meals and a comfortable room in which to stay while attending our English training. Host family accommodation is recommended as an effective way to practise English after school. In addition to the cultural experience and full immersion in the English language, bonds of friendship and international communication are often formed which endure for many years.    

Choosing a Host Family

When it comes to host family accommodation, we are very selective in choosing appropriate families to meet our requirements.  Our English course director visits each host family home and shares a pot of tea with the host to get a feel for the 'Englishness' of a particular family.  A number of host families have worked with Exec English over several years and are often glad to extend their hospitality and accommodation to returning course participants as many form long-lasting friendships.

Our host families are expected to provide breakfast, dinner, a comfortable room and bed, with conversation and company in the evenings.
